With INTOCHARGE Power Management software, organizations can meet the rising demand for charging spots by installing more stations than their electrical service would typically support, without the need for costly infrastructure upgrades. Additionally, the software can assist in managing electricity costs, which can be a significant portion of an organization’s electrical bill. The power management software allows to set a power limit below the threshold for demand charges, ensuring that power usage from charging stations never exceeds this limit and avoiding additional costs.
Power management systems for electric vehicle (EV) charging are designed to meet the electrical code and safety standards set by the National Electric Code (NEC) and other relevant codes and standards. However, it’s important to note that local building and electrical codes may also apply and may vary depending on your location.
It is recommended that you check with your local building and electrical codes or consult with a licensed electrician or EV charging equipment installer, who can ensure that the installation of the power management system meets the local codes and safety standards.
As for electrical inspectors, they will review the installation of the power management system to ensure that it complies with the local building and electrical codes. They will check that the system is installed correctly, that the wiring and connections meet the standards, and that the equipment is properly labeled and identified.
It’s important to note that power management systems may require special certifications or qualifications to meet the electrical code, so it’s important to check with the local authorities and consult with an expert to ensure that the power management system meets the electrical code and is approved by the electrical inspector.

As electric vehicles become more popular, the need for EV charging infrastructure is increasing. However, many buildings were not designed to accommodate EV charging and may not have the necessary electrical capacity to support all the charging spots you want to install to meet demand from customers, employees, visitors, and other EV drivers. To solve this problem, we have developed Power Management software that allows you to install more EV charging stations, share existing power effectively among them and avoid costly electrical capacity upgrades.
Our team can also assess the electrical capacity of your location and help you configure the maximum aggregate electrical load for each group of charging stations.

This refers to sharing a single electrical circuit between multiple EV charging stations. The circuit is typically rated for a specific amount of power and multiple charging stations are connected to the same circuit (40A circuit). This allows for multiple vehicles to charge at the same time, but the available power is shared among all the charging stations connected to the circuit.

This refers to sharing an entire charging station site between multiple EV owners or operators. This allows different EV owners or operators to install their own charging stations at the site and share the available power. This type of sharing is typically seen in public charging stations, where multiple charging points are available for different EV owners or operators to use.

Panel level sharing in charging stations refers to the practice of connecting multiple electric vehicle (EV) charging stations to a single electrical panel. The panel has a defined power rating and multiple charging stations are linked to it. This setup enables multiple vehicles to charge simultaneously, but the available power is divided among all the charging stations connected to the panel. By implementing panel sharing, more charging stations can be installed even if the panel’s capacity is limited
As the owner of IntoCharge charging station, you establish all significant policies for your facility, including determining who has permission to utilize the station and how much electric vehicle drivers will be charged for using the station.
The INTOCHARGE reservation system allows EV drivers to reserve a charging spot in advance using an app or website. They can select a charging station, check availability, and reserve a spot. They receive a confirmation and can cancel or modify the reservation. When they arrive, they can access the charging station using RFID card or mobile app. After charging, the reservation is automatically canceled.

A waitlist is a feature that allows EV drivers to be notified when a charging spot becomes available at a charging station. If the charging station is full and no spots are available, the driver can add themselves to a waitlist. When a spot becomes available, the next person on the waitlist will be notified and given a certain amount of time to arrive and claim the spot.

If you’ve changed your mind and no longer require a charge, you can easily opt out by clicking “Leave Waitlist,” freeing up your spot.

  1. Choose the charging station you want to use.
  2. Check the availability of the charging spots.
  3. If all spots are busy, look for the option to join the waitlist. This is a button or link labeled “Join Waitlist”.
  4. Once you’ve joined the waitlist, you will be given an estimate of how long you will need to wait for a spot to become available.
  5. When a spot becomes available, you will receive a notification through the app or by email.
  6. You will have a certain amount of time, usually between 15 to 30 minutes, to arrive at the station and claim the spot.
  7. Once you arrive, you will have access to the charging spot, and the charging process begins.
“Snooze” is a feature that allows EV drivers to temporarily pause their waitlist status. If a driver is next on the waitlist, but they know they will not be able to arrive at the station within the given time frame, they can use the “Snooze” feature to pause their place on the waitlist. This allows the next driver on the waitlist to be notified and claim the spot. Once the driver is ready to claim the spot, they can “wake up” their place on the waitlist and return to their previous position. This feature allows for a more efficient use of charging spots and reduces the likelihood of a driver missing their turn and having to wait longer.
If you don’t respond when it’s your turn on the waitlist for a charging spot, your place on the waitlist will likely be forfeited. This means that the next person on the waitlist will be notified and given the opportunity to claim the spot.
To report a car blocking your station, simply go to the app and click “Report a problem,” then choose “Car is blocking station” after you have accepted the spot. This will move you to the top of the waiting list and you will be offered the next available spot when it becomes free.
